In 2001, with the blessing of Archbishop Ion, the Orthodox parish in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was registered for the first time in the village of Liman. In April of the same year, the local administration allocated a plot of land for the construction of the church.

In 2004, Archbishop Ion appointed Priest Sergey Troitsky as the parish rector. In the same year, an auxiliary building was constructed, half of which was consecrated in November 2005 as a small church, where services are still held. In 2013, the construction of the main church began.

On November 4, 2017, the upper church dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was consecrated.
