Previously, the village of Krasnosamarsk was known as Mochinskaya Sloboda, and later as the village of Mocha, located in a marshy area and founded in 1752. In 1854, with the funds from parishioners, the first wooden church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was built here.

In 1908, the construction of a new stone church began next to the old wooden one, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov. The entire village participated in the construction, and every resident contributed. Even children, on their way to school, brought a jar of sour milk and a few eggs for the mortar. Well-known merchants of the province participated in the construction: Arzhanovs, Shikhobalovs, Putilovs. It was one of the largest churches in Samara province.

From 1916 to 1936, services were held in the new church, but in the mid-30s it was closed. Attempts to blow up the church were unsuccessful. The domes were removed, icons and church utensils were taken away, but the residents saved much by transferring it to the church of the village of Malaya Malyshevka, which remained open during the Soviet era. The empty church building was used as a garage and grain storage. On December 18, 1937, priest Fyodor Stepanov, who called for faith in God and observance of religious holidays, was shot. Churchwarden Pavel Baranov was sentenced to 10 years in camps.

In August 1992, with the blessing of Bishop Eusebius, a meeting of parishioners was held in the village, where a church council, a starosta, a treasurer, and an audit commission were elected. Archbishop Eusebius blessed the restoration of the church and provided building materials. In 1996, services resumed in the temple. On April 21, 2006, on the eve of Easter, crosses were raised on the restored domes, followed by a set of 13 bells. The restoration of the church continues.

The relics of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God Church in Krasnosamarsk include a particle of the Life-Giving Cross and the Tomb of the Lord, the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and St. Seraphim of Sarov, as well as a box containing 85 particles of the relics of holy martyrs.
