In 1877, a wooden church with five domes was built and consecrated, becoming an independent parish from that time on. According to contemporary accounts, the church was small and cold. In 1902, it was surrounded by a stone fence. By 1907, the building needed major repairs or even a complete reconstruction. In 1936, the church was closed, and its building was used as a club and store. In 1990, a decision was made to reopen it, and in 1991, the first open-air service took place. The modern church is a single-altar structure, and in 1999, a baptistery was added to its left side.
