The church is a single-story building without a basement, designed in a classical three-part longitudinal-axial composition. After the church was closed, workshops and storage facilities for the collective farm 'Rodina' were established within its walls. The altar part was demolished, the domes, drums, and vault of the main building were destroyed, and a second floor was added over the refectory. The building was disfigured by extensions and changed beyond recognition. The bell tower is completely destroyed. The only reminders that this was once a church are the window frames and some elements of the facades. Churyakovo, a suburb of Uglich, is located on the Yaroslavl highway at the exit from the city. The church is situated in the center of the village, on a slope facing the Uleyma River, which flows nearby Churyakovo.
