The order of the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage Protection of Nizhny Novgorod and Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD included the rural Kazan Church in the list of historical and cultural heritage sites. The church dates back to 1870. However, according to information from the State Heritage Protection Office of Nizhny Novgorod Region, order No. 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159.
