The village of Bogorodsk is located in the Sergač district.
According to the order of the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage Protection of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region dated April 24, 2000, the Kazan Church in this village was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site.
The church has altars: the main one in honor of the Kazan Mother of God and a chapel dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.
The church dates back to 1821.
However, according to the data from the State Heritage Protection Office of the Nizhny Novgorod region, order No. 5-OD lost its validity on October 20, 2014, in accordance with order No. 159.
