In the multinational railway settlement of Suleya, located in the Satka district, a long-awaited event took place: after several years of construction, an Orthodox church was opened in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

Early in the morning, despite a slight chill, the residents of Suleya gathered in the center of the settlement to attend the consecration of the church and the solemn liturgy conducted by Metropolitan Ioann of Chelyabinsk and Zlatoust.

The new church, towering over the settlement, has become the first Orthodox church in Suleya in over a century. The idea for its construction belongs to lawyer Oleg Sadovsky. "We built this church together with my like-minded colleagues who were born, raised, and educated here," says Oleg Leonidovich. It is truly a community structure, erected thanks to joint efforts and numerous donations.

Particularly noteworthy is the recent contribution to the development of the village church made by Oleg Sadovsky's colleagues, Chelyabinsk notaries. They collected voluntary donations, purchased a rare icon of the Kazan Mother of God, and presented it to the Orthodox community of Suleya.
