The Church of the Kazan Mother of God and Saint Prophet Elijah, built of stone, is a parish church divided into summer and winter parts. The summer part has one altar dedicated to the Kazan Mother of God and Saint Prophet Elijah. The winter part has two altars: on the right, in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Forty Martyrs, and on the left, in honor of Saint Demetrius of Thessalonica. The church was erected by parishioners in 1804 and restored in 1856 after a fire by the merchant Eltikov from Rybinsk.

The church is notable for its sturdiness. It has 12 desyatins of arable and hay land, as well as 38 desyatins and 370 square fathoms of forest. The houses of the priest and the psalmist are wooden, owned by the church, and suitable for living. The church capital amounts to 100 rubles. The parish includes 453 men and 531 women, including residents of the village of Ramenye (159 men and 189 women) and the villages: Mukhonovo (8 men and 8 women), Nefednitsy (20 men and 46 women), Kuznechikha (90 men and 108 women), Denga (15 men and 11 women), Pavlovskoye (90 men and 98 women), Belavino (35 men and 45 women), Aksenovskaya (28 men and 20 women), and Matveyevo (8 men and 6 women).

The village is located on a plain and is divided into two settlements, between which there is a moat that fills with water in spring. Trees grow along the edges of the moat. A stream flows half a verst from the village, and the nearest villages are 2-3 versts away. The postal and telegraph address is Davydkovo station, village of Ramenye. The village is located 25 versts from Romanovo-Borisoglebsk and Yaroslavl. There is a one-class church school in the village, the building of which is maintained from the interest on 3061 rubles donated by merchant Volkov. There is a library at the school. The parish also has a children's shelter and nursery, which open for two months during working hours, in July and August, and are located in the school. The provincial zemstvo allocates 150 rubles annually for the maintenance of the shelter. The clergy staff includes a priest and a psalmist, receiving a state salary of 392 rubles. The parish capital in securities amounts to 950 rubles.
