The wooden church of the Kazan Mother of God and Anastasia, located on a high hill in the center of the village of Tatarskaya Gora, stands out in the architecture of the settlement and the surrounding landscape. It is a three-part church with equal height and width, standing on a low foundation. It includes a prayer room, altar, and narthex.

The architectural composition of the church is complicated by the addition of a porch with a western entrance and staircase, which emphasizes the axiality of the building's structure.

The walls of the structure are made of round logs, joined in a 'simple rectangular lap', with the inner surfaces fully hewn, while the outer surfaces are covered with horizontal planks fastened with factory nails along vertical edges.

The floors in the church are double: the lower layer consists of logs with the bark side up, and the upper layer, made of planks, is laid 'end to end' on rectangular tenons. In the altar and narthex, the floor planks are arranged parallel to the entrance, while in the main room, they are perpendicular.

The ceilings in the rooms are horizontal: in the main room, they are made of planks 'end to end', laid perpendicular to the entrance on three pentagonal beams; in the altar, they are made of planks 'in groove', laid perpendicular to the entrance on one pentagonal beam; in the narthex, they are made of logs with the hewn side down, laid parallel to the entrance on two pentagonal beams.

The windows in the church are three-jamb, with the jambs joined 'in quarter' and an inserted windowsill 'straight'. In the northwestern corner of the main room, there was previously a square Dutch stove made of red brick.

The roofs of the main room and altar are made using the samtsovo-slegovaya technique, with the slegs inserted through four crowns, and covered with two layers of plank roofing.

On the eastern gable of the main room, a two-tiered cornice with carvings of circles and jagged lines on the lower tier has been preserved.

The Church of the Kazan Mother of God and Anastasia in the village of Tatarskaya Gora, built in the late 19th century, represents historical and architectural interest due to its significance in the development of the settlement and the system of cult buildings in the villages of Kostina Gora and Tatarskaya Gora.
