The village of Mezhuiki was originally Old Believer and served as the center of the Mezhuik volost, known for its blacksmiths. According to local residents' memories, Prince Cherkassky baptized his children in the wooden Iver Church, which survived all the anti-religious storms but could not withstand the test of time. This church was built in honor of the Iver Icon of the Mother of God in 1845 thanks to the joint efforts of the village owner, Prince Vladimir Nikolaevich Cherkassky, and his serfs. It is a wooden structure on a stone foundation, surrounded by a stone fence. Despite its dilapidated state, the church continues to serve as a spiritual center: prayers are held near it during holidays, processions take place twice a year, and farewells to the deceased are also held here.
