The construction of a wooden parish church near the city cemetery began in October 2008. On the solemn ceremony of laying the cornerstone for the altar on October 9, Archbishop Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas arrived.

The church was built on donations. The first Divine Liturgy was held in 2011, and regular services began in July. On October 7, 2012, all dome crosses were consecrated.

On October 20, 2012, the first parish founding meeting took place, where the decision to create an independent parish was made.

On June 28, 2013, the Great Consecration of the church was conducted by Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas.
