In 1711, the landowner Ivan Petrovich Obukhov built a wooden church, distinguished by its simple architecture. In 1745, his son, Fyodor Ivanovich, completed the construction of the stone Church of John the Baptist, from which the remains of the bell tower have survived to this day. The church has two altars: the main, cold one, dedicated to the memory of the Beheading of the Head of Saint Prophet John the Baptist, and a warm chapel in the name of Saint Great Martyr Theodore Stratilates.
