The Church of John the Baptist in Siti is considered one of the best examples of estate churches. Later, a refectory known as the "winter church" was added to it from the west side. This refectory, like the original building, is characterized by its miniature size. Everything in this temple is small: the octagon on the square, the refectory, and the two-tiered low bell tower adjacent to it.

Upon closer inspection, one can notice many similarities with the church in Novy. These include the low porticos with columns and vase-like capitals on the northern and southern facades of the square, as well as the meander at the cornices. Such similarity is not accidental, as the temple was also built by the Sukhov-Kobylins in 1797.

In Kolegaevo, where there are almost no people, the church has been preserved better than in the busier Novy. The low square is simple and clear in its outlines, while the octagon with double pilasters and a hemispherical roof is a model of an estate church of that time. However, the builders did not avoid local peculiarities. Particularly interesting are the details of the completion: the drum with three narrow windows, separated by thin volutes, supports the onion dome with a two-tiered covering, the upper tier of which resembles a tubeteika. A forged cross on a crescent is placed on the dome.

Until recently, the main attraction of the church was its iconostasis, contemporary with the temple. The narrow iconostasis rose to the full height of the church in three tiers. The upper tiers had only three icons each, but the rich collection of sculptures drew the most attention. More than twenty carved figures of saints in various poses framed the tiers, making the interior of the church extraordinarily expressive.

The Kolegaevo parish was small and poor, so updates to the church occurred rarely and were insignificant. The most serious changes took place in 1908 thanks to the small funds of the priest and "concerned people." The iconostasis was redesigned, but the sculptures retained their places.

The abundance of sculptures and their unusual arrangement initially seem unique to this region. However, there is an analogy in the Krivec estate near the city of Myshkin, where sculptures in the church were also abundant and placed boldly. "Carved angels, as if taking flight to the very top, sat on the cornice, dangling their legs."

The original iconostases of both churches have not survived. From Kolegaevo, only a few damaged figures made it to the Myshkin museum. The depths of Siti did not attract the attention of museum workers in time, and many of its treasures were lost.
