The church dedicated to Saint John of Kronstadt is located in the village of Volzhsky Utes on the territory of Samara Luka, near the sanatorium "Volzhsky Utes," which is managed by the Medical Department of the President of Russia. The village was founded in 1976, and there were no settlements here before the revolution. In 1997, the first parish in honor of John of Kronstadt was established in Volzhsky Utes. Initially, services were held in a construction trailer. In 2000, a site was consecrated for the construction of a full-fledged church, but work only began three years later after Father Sergey was appointed as the parish priest. The construction lasted two and a half years, and on December 25, 2005, the church was consecrated by Archbishop Sergey of Samara and Syzran. The wooden church is built in the style of northern architecture: the main volume is an octagon on a square base, topped with a tent roof, with extensions on two sides, a five-sided apse to the east, and a spacious refectory with a porch and an octagonal bell tower to the west. The picturesque location of the church at the foot of Mount Svetelka adds to its charm.
