According to the scribal books of the Murom district from 1628-1630, there was a wooden church of John the Theologian in the village of Zamarichye, and beside it, another warm church dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. It is believed that the first wooden temple was built during the reign of Prince Ivan Mikhailovich Vorotynsky in honor of his heavenly patron, the apostle John the Theologian. In the surrounding villages, besides the peasant households, there were also noble estates.

The Church of John the Theologian existed until 1714, when a new one was built in its place, consecrated on May 1, 1714, by the blessing of Metropolitan Stefan of Ryazan. The fate of the Nicholas church remains unknown. From 1889 to 1896, a new stone temple was built in Zamarichye. It had two altars: the main one in honor of the apostle John the Theologian and in the warm refectory, in honor of the great martyr Paraskeva, known as Friday. Among the ancient items in the church was an altar Gospel from 1640 with the inscription: "In the year 1641, on December 20, this book was given to the house of the Evangelist John the Theologian from the estate of Prince Alexei Ivanovich Vorotynsky in the village of Zamarichye by his man Maxim Dmitrievich Lobanov according to his parents."
