The village of Davydkovo is located in the Sosnovsky district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the rural John the Theologian Church, built in 1760, was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site. However, according to the Administration of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, this order lost its validity on October 20, 2014, due to the issuance of order No. 159. Natalia Listvina reported that in the building of the former church, located in the center of the village and hardly resembling a temple, there used to be a club, and now there are a post office and a pharmacy.
