The Church of John the Theologian of the Spaso-Transfiguration Male Monastery in the Ryazan Kremlin

Фото 1
The John the Theologian Church is located in the Ryazan Kremlin and serves as a connecting element between two buildings of the Ryazan Metropolitan Seminary. Built in 1904, the church was consecrated in honor of the holy apostle John the Theologian and the evangelist Joseph the Betrothed, with a re-consecration taking place in 1996.

This stone structure with an iron roof was erected with funds from parishioners and benefactors. The Synod granted the cathedral the status of an independent parish.

The church has three altars: the main one is dedicated to John the Theologian, the right one to Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the left one to the icon of the Mother of God "of Kazan."
