The third church in the city was located in the Pokrov tuberculosis prison, which was rebuilt during the Soviet period. The church was consecrated in 1898. The inmates were placed above in the choir, separated by a grille from the praying townspeople below. The church could accommodate 400 people. Work is currently underway to prepare project and estimate documentation for the restoration of the church.
