The Ilyin Church in the village of Stary Pogost is a stone building with a bell tower, built in 1832 through the efforts of parishioners and with the support of benefactors. The fence around the church is made of stone with a wooden lattice between the posts. The cemetery is located 20 fathoms from the church and is also surrounded by a stone fence with a wooden lattice. The church has two altars: one in honor of the Entry into the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos, and the other, of the holy prophet Elijah.
