The stone church with five domes and a bell tower, dedicated to Elijah, the Bogolyubskaya Mother of God, and St. Sergius, was built in 1808 thanks to the efforts of parishioners and landowner A. Anzubkov. Before this, there was a wooden church on this site, the date of its construction is unknown, and it was demolished in 1808. The church does not have ancient or particularly venerated icons or other antique items. Four processions are held throughout the year: on June 18 in memory of livestock deaths, on July 20 for the church holiday, on July 28 in connection with the cholera outbreak of 1853, and on October 24, also due to livestock deaths. The church owns 36 desyatins of land, and the parish consists of one village.

According to the manuscript of Artynov, there was previously a town called Vasili on the site of this village, founded by the Rostov prince Vasily Konstantinovich. During the invasion of Batu, the town was completely destroyed, and the wife of Prince Vasily, Princess Maria, built a new tower, naming it after her husband. In the 15th century, this place belonged to Prince Vasily Fedorovich Bakhtyaro, then it passed to his nephew Prince Vasily Vasilievich Priimkov, the Wolf, who gave it as a dowry for his daughter Fekla, who was married to Prince D. B. Shchepin, her grandson.
