The village of Vasilkovo is located 20 versts from Vladimir and 16 versts from Suzdal, on the banks of the Nerl River. It was previously called Visilki. In the village, there is a stone church dedicated to the holy prophet Elijah, built in 1868 through the efforts of the parishioners. The church has a warm refectory, also made of stone, with two altars: in honor of the Protection of the Holy Virgin and Saint John the Baptist. It was erected in 1877, also thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. The bell tower is also made of stone.

The church is well equipped with utensils, a sacristy, holy icons, and liturgical books. All church documents are kept in order: copies of the metric books have been maintained since 1802, confession rolls since 1828, and an inventory of church property was compiled in 1877. The church owns land: 1 desyatina of household land and 33 desyatinas of arable and haymaking land. There is a plan and boundary book. The income of the parish from the land and services amounts to up to 400 rubles per year. According to the staff, the parish consists of a priest and a psalmist. The priest lives in the church house, while the psalmist rents an apartment. The parish includes one village, which has 128 households, 315 men, and 345 women.
