The wooden church, built with the funds of parishioners, was consecrated on October 26, 1893, in honor of Saint Prophet Elijah. On August 6, 1899, a church-parish guardianship was established. The Prophet-Elijah Church was closed in 1937.

In the village of Vasilievskoe, Krasnogorsk district, reconstruction of the church, which is one of the oldest wooden churches in Udmurtia and is 118 years old, has been underway for more than a year. In recent years, it was in an emergency state: the bell tower tilted, the ceiling sagged, and the building was severely dilapidated. Residents sought help from Nikolai Borisovich Sorokin, the general director of OAO 'Udmurtspirtprom', who responded to the request of his fellow countrymen. The contractor for the reconstruction was chosen as LLC 'Stroy-tsentr', and the project was restored by studying archival documents. It was decided to return the church to its historical appearance, remove primitive materials from the Soviet era, and change the color scheme from green to white and pink, as originally intended.

On August 2, 2011, on the day of the prophet Elijah, the church appeared before those gathered in its renewed form: it was covered outside with white wooden 'planking', resembling plastic siding. The window frames and corners of the walls were painted pink. The green roof was made by craftsmen from Chelyabinsk. The domes and crosses were gilded. The area around was cleared, old buildings were removed, and an iron fence with gilded elements was installed. The gates were decorated with forged patterns. A cobblestone path was laid around the church, and steps lead to it from the street. Now the church looks like a true work of modern builders, not like an old village church.

At exactly 10 a.m., Metropolitan Nikolai of Izhevsk and Udmurtia arrived in Vasilievskoe to consecrate the church after reconstruction. Honorary guests also attended the ceremony: the general director of OAO 'Udmurtspirtprom' N.B. Sorokin, the Minister of Labor of the Udmurt Republic S.S. Fefilov, State Council Deputy of the Udmurt Republic O.I. Cherkasova, and the head of the municipal formation 'Krasnogorsk district' V.S. Korepanov. After the consecration, Metropolitan Nikolai led the Divine Liturgy. Then, those who contributed to the restoration of the church were awarded the Diocesan Commemorative Sign of Saint Archangel Michael.
