In the second half of the 19th century, there were 52 houses in the village of Usovo. The parish of the local church included four settlements: Usovo, located by a stream, Kanditovo by the Kachevka River, as well as Sidorovo and Krutoy Ovrag, situated by ponds.

The villages of Krutoy Ovrag and Kanditovo still exist today, while Sidorovo and Usovo itself are now wastelands.
