The Ilyinskaya cemetery church in the city of Makaryevo is built of stone and has a stone bell tower. It was erected in 1812 with funds from the parishioners of the Makaryevo Christ the Savior Cathedral. Next to the church is a wooden bell tower intended for the large bell. The church and cemetery are surrounded by a stone fence covered with iron. Behind this fence is a public cemetery enclosed by a fence made of split logs and surrounded by a moat. Currently, the deceased are buried here. The church has one altar and is dedicated to the holy prophet Elijah. Nearby are the Tikhvin Cathedral, the Christ the Savior Church, and the temple complex of the Holy Trinity Makaryevo-Unzhensky Monastery, as well as the Resurrection Church in the village of Ustneysk, founded in the 10th century.
