The village has two churches: one dedicated to the Kazan Mother of God, the other to the Prophet Elijah. The Kazan church was destroyed, while the Elijah church was restored in 2009-2010. The book "Brief Information about the Monasteries and Churches of the Yaroslavl Diocese 1908" states:

"The village has two stone churches: a summer one in honor of the Kazan Mother of God and a winter one in honor of the Prophet Elijah. The first church has three altars: in honor of the Korsun Mother of God, Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and Saint Martyr Paraskeva and Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene. In the winter church, the altar is in honor of Saint Prophet Elijah and Archangel Michael. The church feasts are celebrated on July 6, October 9, May 9, December 6, October 28, July 22, July 20, and November 8. The summer church was built in 1756 thanks to the efforts of Lieutenant Mikhail Petrovich Bakhmetev, and the winter one in 1770 through the efforts of Colonel Vasily Stefanovich Zmeyev. The church houses a miraculous icon of the Korsun Mother of God. The church land comprises 56 desyatins 270 square fathoms, of which 33 desyatins 1065 square fathoms were allocated during the general land survey, and 22 desyatins 1605 square fathoms were donated to support the clergy by the gentlemen Bakhmetev and Khvostov. There are two church houses: one for the priest and the other for the church watchman. The church capital amounts to 1107 rubles 50 kopecks. The village is located on a plain by a pond. There are 10 men and 8 women parishioners in Mikhailovskoye village, 58 men and 77 women in Kuznechikha village, 1/4 verst from the church, 36 men and 31 women in Stara village, 1/2 verst away, 72 men and 78 women in Butrevo village, 1 verst away, totaling 176 men and 194 women. All residents of the parish are Orthodox, and there are no obstacles to communication. The parish has a church school, opened in 1895. The school building was constructed by the local landowner, nobleman Alexander Alexandrovich Markov, at his own expense and is maintained by him. On January 3, 1903, a church parish guardianship was established at the church. According to the statute, there should be a priest and a psalmist. The clergy receives a state salary of 392 rubles. The inviolable clergy capital amounts to 3988 rubles.
