The Church of the Sign of the Mother of God in the village of Znamensk was built of stone and is dedicated to the Sign of the Mother of God. It was erected in 1784 at the initiative of the landowner Nikolai Andreyevich Tyutchev.
The church owns 36 desyatins of land, as well as houses for the priest and the psalmist. 700 rubles have been invested in interest-bearing securities for the church capital. The village is located on a hill by the Kadka River. There is also a district primary school operating in it. The church staff includes a priest and a psalmist, and the parish capital amounts to 748 rubles.
