Znamenskoye is a village located in the Voskresensky District. In accordance with the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the rural Znamenskaya Church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. The church dates back to the second half of the 19th century. However, according to the data from the State Heritage Protection Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, order No. 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159.
