The Sign Church, made of wood, was built in the second half of the 17th century. Little is known about it. It is believed that a rare icon of the Mother of God 'Sign' has been preserved in the church, but its whereabouts are unknown. The Sign Church and the Annunciation Church form a unique architectural ensemble that has no equal in Central Russia. The Annunciation Church is the only one built in such an early period and is in such a dilapidated state.

The complex of churches at the Annunciation cemetery is recognized as a monument of federal significance, as evidenced by a rusted plaque at the entrance. In the 1950s, restoration work was carried out here, but it was unsuccessful, as thirty years later the roof over the refectory collapsed. The situation could have been even worse if not for the efforts of Father Vyacheslav Bulanov, the rector of the Holy Vvedensky Church in the village of Florishchi, located five kilometers away. Thanks to his efforts and the support of the parish, this unique monument is being preserved from complete destruction. Since 1992, services have been held twice a year in the Annunciation Church on July 18 and October 8, on the days of remembrance of St. Sergius. One of the chapels of the church is consecrated in his honor.
