On June 26, 1935, the church council of the village of Pogost-Bykovo appealed to the All-Russian Central Executive Committee (VTSIK) with a complaint that the Suzdal district finance department was demanding 1200 rubles from the believers for two stolen crosses. In response, on July 29, VTSIK instructed the regional finance department to recheck the weight of the stolen crosses. In 1940, the church was closed.
