The ancestral church of the Shcherbatov princes is an example of Moscow Baroque, which is atypical for the architecture of Yaroslavl. The Church of the Sign of the Blessed Virgin Mary is made of stone and is distinguished by its durability. The summer church is dedicated to the Sign of the Blessed Virgin Mary, while the winter one is dedicated to Archangel Michael, Saint Nicholas of Myra, Saint Alexander of Constantinople, and the 40 Martyrs of Sebaste. The summer church was built in 1855 through the efforts of the parishioners, and the winter church was constructed in 1879 thanks to the merchant widow Ekaterina Syroyezhina. The parish particularly venerates the icon of Saint Great Martyr Paraskeva, which, according to legend, was found by a spring one verst from the village. A procession is traditionally held there on the ninth Friday after Easter. There is a stone chapel in the village, and one verst away, a wooden structure over the spring.

The church owns 76 desyatins and 2395 square fathoms of land. There are two stone houses: one for the priest and the other for the psalmist, as well as a watchman's hut. The church capital amounts to 1776 rubles and 47 kopecks. The parish consists of 520 men and 580 women. Three villages are located 6 versts from the village, while the others are within 4 versts or closer. The parish has a church school. The clergy staff includes a priest and a psalmist, and the clergy capital totals 3948 rubles.

The church was closed in 1931 and was used as a warehouse.
