In 1833, to the east of the monastery wall, a stone two-story church with one dome was built on the site of the burial of the venerable Jacob. The upper altar was consecrated in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Spring," and the lower one, in honor of the holy apostle, first martyr, and archdeacon Stephen. To the left of the entrance, a tomb was arranged, which housed the image of the venerable Jacob. In 1884, a new altar was installed in the lower church. The name of the venerable Isaac of Dalmatia was added to the name of archdeacon Stephen on the antimins, whose memory is celebrated on May 30.
