The wooden single-altar church was built from 2000 to 2006. Its construction was made possible by the efforts and funds of the rector of the Ilyinsky Church in the village of Palekh, Archimandrite Filaret Solovyov, parishioners of the Ilyinsky Church, as well as private benefactors from Moscow. The laying of the church took place in 1999 and was conducted by Archbishop Ambrose Shchurov of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Kineshma. Since 2006, the Divine Liturgy has been held in the church, for which Archbishop Ambrose personally signed the Antimension. The consecration of the church by episcopal rite took place on July 16, 2008, under the guidance of His Grace Joseph, Bishop of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Kineshma. The carved iconostasis of the church was created by the masters of the Palekh iconostasis workshop A.V. Vlezko and Y.V. Fedorov. The church is used as a cemetery for conducting funerals and memorial services, and the Divine Liturgy is celebrated on the days of commemoration of the deceased and on the feast day, which is celebrated on February 18.
