The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "All Who Sorrow" is located on the grounds of the Ascension Tambov Women's Monastery.

The stone church, dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God "All Who Sorrow," with chapels of the Prophet Elijah and the Blessed Alexius, Man of God, was built between 1816 and 1820 according to the design of surveyor Uryupin. The central part of the temple is a spacious square base supporting a light octagon, which is topped with an octagonal dome and a bulbous spire on a decorative drum. On the eastern side, a semicircular altar apse adjoins the square base, while on the western side, there is a small narthex, above which rises an octagonal bell tower with a bulbous top. The building is adorned with decorative elements, plastered, and painted in white and blue colors. During the Soviet era, like many other churches of the monastery, the church was closed and fell into ruin. In 1988, it was returned to the faithful and was consecrated again in 1992.

Today, the church is operational, serving as a shrine of the monastery complex and a monument of 19th-century architecture.
