The first church of the future monastery, dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God 'Joy of All Who Sorrow', was consecrated on June 20, 1863. The icons for the church were created by the sisters themselves. During the Soviet era, the building was used as a garage. A few years ago, the reconstruction of the temple began, and on September 25, 2014, Metropolitan Georgy of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas conducted the rite of Great Consecration of the temple in honor of the icon of the Mother of God 'Joy of All Who Sorrow'.
