The village of Ezdakovo, located in the Arzamas district, disappeared in the mid-1980s and by the early 1990s became the Archangel Skete of the Diveyevo Monastery. A new church was built in Ezdakovo in honor of the icon 'Mother of God, Bread Giver', completed by 2007. By the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the village's Pokrovskaya Church, dedicated to the Protection of the Mother of God and dated 1810, was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site. However, according to the Administration of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, this order lost its validity on October 20, 2014, in accordance with order No. 159.
