Church of the Icon of the Mother of God 'The Inexhaustible Cup' in Volzhsky

The spring is located on the left bank of the Kurumoch River, where it flows into the Sok River, at the foot of the western slope of Tsarev Kurgan. This ancient shrine has been known since ancient times. Until 1917, there was a wooden chapel here, where pilgrims from Samara and other regions of Russia came.

After the revolution, the spring was abandoned and filled with gravel. The restoration of the shrine began in 1990 with the blessing of Bishop Sergey of Samara and Syzran. A chapel was soon built at the spring in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God 'The Inexhaustible Cup', which was reconstructed into a church in 2000. In addition to the temple, a separate bell tower and a bathing area with two baptismal pools were also erected at the holy spring.

In spring, during the flood and significant water releases from the Kuibyshev Hydroelectric Power Station, the holy spring is flooded.
