The first mentions of the church and parish can be found in the records of the Ryazan diocese from 1676, which refer to the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, where a priest and a deacon served. The parish included the villages of Yazvitsy, Prokshino, Protasyevo, Zhigalovo, Vasilyevo, Khokhlovka, and Ozyablitsy, and the church itself belonged to the Polnovsky pogost.

Today, the Polnovsky pogost is located on the border of Gus-Khrustalny and Sudogodsky districts, 1.5 km from the settlement named after Vorovsky. The residents of this settlement, although it belongs to the Sudogodsky district, continue to bury their loved ones in the cemetery in Polnoe, which is located in the Gus-Khrustalny district. After the establishment of the Vokovskaya crystal factory in 1782, its workers also became part of the Polnovsky parish.

In the early 1870s, the Assumption Church was expanded by adding two chapels: in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and St. John the Baptist. In 1887, the church burned down, with only the antimins, the ark, and the icon of the Tikhvin Mother of God surviving, which began to be considered miraculous. In the same year, a new wooden church with a bell tower and one altar in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in Polnoe.

Significant funds for the construction of the new church were invested by Ivan Gavrilovich Fedorovsky, who bought the crystal factory in 1875 from merchant Nebol'sin. With his funds, the church was faced with brick, leaving the interior wooden. A brick fence was built around the cemetery. The priest had his own house, and the psalmist lived in the church house. There was a two-story hotel with four classrooms on the first floor near the church.

In 1879, Fedorovsky received permission to build a stone chapel at the factory in the Vokovsky settlement. After the revolution, the chapel was looted and used as a store, cafeteria, law enforcement point, and ticket office.

Before the war in 1941, by the decision of the Gus-Khrustalny district executive committee, the church in the village of Polnoe was closed and dismantled for household needs. Father Dmitry, the priest, was transferred to Likino, and the church utensils and icons were distributed among the houses. It was decided to build a chapel in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the site of the destroyed church.

Tatiana Georgievna Podberezkaya, a native of the Vorovsky settlement, with her own funds not only repaired but also expanded the chapel over several years, turning it into a full-fledged church with a bell tower by the year 2000. In December 2000, the consecration of the chapel-church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God 'Worthy It Is' took place.

Currently, a small wooden chapel has been built in the cemetery of the Polnovsky pogost, which is served by the rector of the 'Worthy It Is' church, Priest Andrei Yandukin.
