Фото 1
At the center of the architectural ensemble of the Spaso-Transfiguration Monastery is a three-story brotherhood building, constructed in 1891. In its southeastern part is the house church of the Hersonese Martyrs.

The church of the Hersonese Martyrs was established in the brotherhood building in the early 20th century and was solemnly consecrated in 1911. It functioned for just over ten years until it was closed in 1923 with the advent of Soviet power. Services in the church resumed only in the early 21st century. In 2006, a new dome was installed on the church, and it was restored.
