Another church has survived two calamities: neglect during the Soviet era and the destructive impact of the transitional period of the 1990s. The second period also affected the surrounding buildings, such as the typical store and club, which were previously in good condition. As a result, the center of the village of Krasnoznamensk resembles a place after a bombing. This impression is heightened when looking at the interior of the church, where the vault of the basement dining hall has collapsed, once equipped with heaters, and a thick layer of soot covers the frescoes in the main hall. The only room that has been attempted to be adapted is the apse. It was separated by a brick partition and a doorway was made from a window on the southern side.
At the time of filming, the church was completely abandoned, with no signs of care or supervision.
