Church of St. George the Victorious in Pavlovsk

Фото 1
The new building was erected next to the monument dedicated to those who fell in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, funded by the parish of the Church of Archangel Michael on Studenaya Gora in the city of Vladimir. The construction was overseen by Archpriest Anatoly Segeda, and the consecration took place on May 9, 2004, by Archbishop Evlogy of Vladimir and Suzdal.

The Church of St. George the Victorious is a compact structure with an integrated bell tower and minimal decor on the facades. Silicate bricks were used for construction, which were then plastered. The church does not adhere to any specific architectural style and does not reproduce ancient or characteristic stylistic directions. Its absolute simplicity resembles Baltic-Catholic hermitages. Its affiliation with Orthodoxy is evidenced by the onion-shaped dome topped with a cross and a small mosaic of St. George the Victorious on the western facade.
