The church in the village of Khryashyovka was built with the funds of parishioners. Construction began in 1826 and was completed in 1828. The church was consecrated on May 12, 1830. The building is made of stone, warm, with a stone bell tower, designed for 700 people. The church has two altars: one dedicated to St. George the Great Martyr, located in the warm chapel, and the second, to the Kazan Mother of God. The exact time of the consecration of the altars is unknown. Since 1905, descriptions mention one altar dedicated to the renewal of the church in Kyiv of St. George the Great Martyr, and the icon painting in the church was ancient and darkened. According to the Clerical Records, two Gospels were considered particularly valuable among the church utensils: one published in 1683, the other in 1711, as well as a cross from the same period and two icons from 1700. The church stored copies of metric books since 1781 and had a library. The church was surrounded by a wooden fence, under which and the fence there were 368 square fathoms of land. Behind the fence was a wooden watchman's hut, where two watchmen lived permanently. There was a church cemetery in a specially designated place, also enclosed by a wooden fence.

In 1932, the Church of St. George in the village of Khryashyovka was closed. According to the authorized representative of the Council for the Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Kuibyshev region, in 1945 the building remained, but the church utensils were missing. In 1953, resettlement from the flooding zone of the Kuibyshev Reservoir was planned, during which 842 households from the village of Khryashyovka were to be moved to a new economic center of the collective farms 'Rodina' and named after Malenkov at a distance of 8 km. According to the report, by December 1953, 887 objects had been moved from the village of Khryashyovka, including two schools, two medical institutions, and 408 other buildings, but the church was not among them.

On May 6, 2017, on the day of the memory of St. George the Great Martyr and Victorious, by the blessing of Metropolitan Sergey of Samara and Tolyatti, Bishop Thomas of Syzran and Zhiguli and Bishop Alexey of Buzuluk and Sorochinsk consecrated the church of St. George the Great Martyr and Victorious in the village of Khryashyovka in the Stavropol district of the Samara region and held the Divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated church.
