Georgievsky Pogost is located on the Pesye meadows, 30 versts from Rostov. Here stands a stone church, consecrated in honor of the great martyr George and Saint Nicholas, built in 1827. Prior to this, in 1819, there was a wooden church on this site, but information about its builder and date of construction is absent.

The manuscript by Artynov mentions the origin of Georgievsky Pogost: "The Grand Duke's governor in Rostov was Prince Ratmir Demyan, and his successor, Prince Yaroslav Vladimirovich, the founder of Yaroslavl, built a magnificent church on the banks of the Liga River in the Rostov district to the wonder of the people."

The current church does not have particularly revered icons or ancient items, as all the utensils and vestments date from a later period.

Five processions are held at the church, each established in memory of various calamities. The church owns 52 desyatinas of land, and the parish includes five settlements: Kozlovo, Zakharyino, Kostiankovo, Khlobyistovo, and Korevo.

According to the explanation of the peasants, Pesye meadows mean free or festive meadows, that is, places for public festivities. Additionally, near the pogost is the area of Mokry Vrazhek, so Georgievsky Pogost is often referred to as Nikolsky Pogost on Mokry Vrazhek. This name is associated with the chapel in honor of Saint Nicholas, who is especially venerated in this parish.
