In 1835 and 1837, a five-domed church with a bell tower was built in the village in honor of the great martyr George and Saint Tikhon. The funds for the construction were raised by the parishioners, especially the peasants Semyon and Yefim Baldeev. Previously, there stood a wooden church erected in 1760, but it was destroyed in 1837.

Among the particularly revered icons in the church is the icon of the Iveron Mother of God, which was donated in 1868 by Countess Musina-Pushkina. This icon is known for two miracles, and since then, a lamp has been constantly burning before it. The church does not have ancient artifacts, but it keeps a manuscript of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich related to a land dispute between Prince Baryatinsky from the village of Zubarevo and the Pereyaslavl-Goritsky Monastery.

Four processions are held in the parish, and the church has 36 desyatinas of land. The parish includes three villages. A rural school has been operating here since 1877.
