The exact date of the church's founding in the village of Suvorotsk is unknown. The patriarchal records of 1628 mention "the church of the holy martyrs Flora and Lavra, located in the estate of the Bogolyubov Monastery in the village of Suvorotsk." In the land books of the Vladimir district, the Yuriev Polish records, and the measures of Prince Shchekhonsky from 1648-1650, it is recorded that in the village of Suvorotsk, on common land, there is a wooden church of Flora and Lavra.

According to the church chronicle, the monastery temple existed until 1698, when a new wooden church was built, which lasted until 1780. In that year, the village of Suvorotsk received a warm church in the name of Nicholas the Wonderworker from the village of Baglachevo, from which, with the addition of timber from the previous church, a new cold temple in the name of the holy martyrs Flora and Lavra was erected.

The new temple had a roof sloping on both sides and covered passages from the northern to the southern door, as well as a passage to a separate bell tower. These passages and the bell tower were dismantled in 1838 due to their dilapidation. In 1861, the upper part of the church was dismantled, on which an octagonal tribune was arranged, and the church was covered with iron. Currently, a new stone church is being built in the village of Suvorotsk. The church has one altar, dedicated to the holy martyrs Flora and Lavra, with wooden carved canopies above the altar and the sacrificial table.

Church documents have been preserved in full: copies of the metric books since 1800 and confession lists since 1829. Landowner Petrova bequeathed a capital of 3000 rubles to the church. According to the clergy's statute, there is a priest and a psalmist. The clergy's maintenance, besides land, consists of interest from a capital of 500 rubles bequeathed by landowner Petrova, as well as income from services and requirements, totaling up to 550 rubles a year. The society has built church houses for the clergy. The parish consists of one village, where 692 people of both sexes reside. Since 1882, a public school has been opened in the village of Suvorotsk with a capital of 12,000 rubles, bequeathed by landowner Petrova, named in memory of her husband as the Nikolai-Mariinsky School.

In 1650, the priest was Ivan Nikitin; in 1687, the deacon was Vasily and the clerk was Romashka; from 1710-1733, Gavril Vasilyev, then Ivan Vasilyev, Gavriil Ivanov, Dorofey Gavrilov, Savva Dorofeyev, Andriyan Savvin; from 1811-1825, Vasily Andreev Miloglyadov; from 1826-1835, Kozma Orlov, Philipp Ilyinsky; from 1838-1848, Kolokolov; from 1844-1854, Matvey Ryabinovsky, Andrey Tsvetaev. In 1872, the parish was assigned to Sukhodol, and in 1882 it was reopened.
