Protasyevo is a peasant village located 21 versts from Rostov, with a pond and wells. The village has 28 households and 69 residents, each with their own plot of land.

In the village stands a stone church with one dome and a bell tower, dedicated to the holy martyrs Flora and Lavra, as well as Saint Basil the Great. It was built in 1795 by Palitsyn, replacing the previous wooden church that existed until 1790.

The church's sacristy holds ancient books and decrees. In the parish of Protasyevo, processions take place on May 9, on the day of the Ascension of the Lord, as well as on June 24 and 29 in memory of the fires of 1854, 1864, and 1867. The church land covers 38 desyatins, and the parish includes 4 villages.
