The wooden parish church dedicated to St. Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica was built by the efforts of parishioners in 1783. In 1886, a stone temple was constructed on its site, which became the main attraction of the village. The church has one dome and a tiered bell tower. It has two altars: one in the name of St. Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica, consecrated in 1899, and the other in the name of the Epiphany of the Lord, consecrated in 1892.

In 1937, the church was closed, officially occurring in 1948, and services ceased. The last priest was Father Alexey Kamensky. In 1966, the church building was handed over to the Sutka village council for use as a warehouse.

In 1989, the church experienced a rebirth: it was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church. A priest arrived in Sutka, and the first service was held. Currently, the church is active again.
