Buzuluk is located 7 km from the city and was founded in the early 18th century. Initially, it was called Cossack Farm or the outpost of the Buzuluk Fortress. Later, the village was named 'Tsarskaya Alexandrovka' in honor of Tsar Alexander I, who passed through it on September 9, 1824, on his way from Samara to the Orenburg province, and then to Sterlitamak and Ufa. Twelve years later, the heir to the throne, Alexander II, passed through the village accompanied by the poet Zhukovsky. On August 9, 1891, Tsarevich Nicholas II passed through Alexandrovka during the final stage of his round-the-world journey. After the 1917 revolution, the name 'Tsarskaya' was replaced with 'Novaya' since 'Staraya' already existed.

In 1890, a wooden church was built in the village, which consisted of a square base with a small refectory and bell tower. In the 1930s, the church was closed, then the temple lost its domes, and the wooden structure was used as a warehouse and granary. In the 2000s, the church was returned to the believers, and repairs and landscaping of the territory began. In the fall of 2013, a site was consecrated, and the construction of a chapel in honor of the Tabyn Icon of the Mother of God began on the church grounds.
