The church was built in 1871 through the efforts of the parishioners. It is a stone building with a matching fence and bell tower, sturdy and covered with iron. The church has two altars: in the cold part, in the name of St. Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica, and in the warm chapel, in the name of the Most Holy Theotokos. The church utensils are plentiful. There is a priest and a psalmist serving in the parish.
The parish has a zemstvo school, opened in 1905. It is located in its own building on church land. The Yaroslavl district zemstvo allocates 150 rubles for its maintenance. This year, 36 boys and 26 girls are studying in the school, a total of 62 students.
The church elder is peasant Vasily Ilyin Sheshnin, who has held this position since 1908.
The last time the bishop visited the parish was in 1863.
