Church of Dmitry of Thessalonica in Dmitrievsky (Yaroslavl District)

Фото 1
The stone church with three altars was built with the funds of parishioners and the local landowner F. Bulgakov. It is a two-light five-domed structure with a refectory connected to the bell tower. The church has warm chapels dedicated to Vladimir and Dmitry of Rostov. In the 19th century, the building underwent reconstruction, during which the refectory was expanded. In 1933, the church was closed, and its building was used as a grain storage, resulting in the destruction of the upper tiers of the bell tower. The building is now abandoned and deteriorating, but some interior frescoes have partially survived.
