Фото 1
According to data from 1859, the village of Bazarniy Syzgan in the Karsun district had an Orthodox church, a post station, a way station, and a wool washing facility. By 1913, the village had 593 households, two churches, two schools, a volost administration, and a railway station.

The church is located on a hill in the center of the village of Bazarniy Syzgan in the Ulyanovsk region. The building is plastered both outside and inside, and the interior is decorated with profiled cornices and wall paintings. The dimensions of the church are 37 by 20 meters. The layout, structural features, and decorative design in the Russian-Byzantine style allow us to date the construction to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. During the Soviet era, the church building housed a consumer cooperative warehouse. Currently, the church is used for its intended purpose.
